In Amsterdam without my wingman Paul. Shame sarah and paul arnet in attendance. Just sat in a coffee shop with Mrs G tasting a bit of the local..... Tea!
An interesting day so far, seen a lot of women in windows, one of them maybe in the Olympics one day she had a sign saying ping pong pro, I bet her dads proud.
Every time I come here I still think its pretty and nothing surprises me really.
Had A coffee this morning for breakfast, the man asked how I wanted it, I said big and black like my car. I think he'll never understand English humour.
On a serious note, what does black Beth need? Nothing at the moment but prevention is better than the cure, she may need a new oil seal and whilst I'm there do I need DMF and flywheel whilst the gearbox is out. Feels like open heart surgery for the girl. Paul feels my pain. The thing is I know my mondeo I know when she's grumpy when she wants to go and when she twitches in corners.
It would be mad to get rid of her, so I think, stick with what you know!

That Friday Feeling
Being Friday at work its time for a little fun with office staff, on more than 2 occasions I've picked up the phone and answered the phone pretending to be an answering machine. Either my impression is fantastic or the callers aren't the quickest of cats!
Aircon service...
What a difference it makes to have a car with an Aircon service. Turns out Paul was missing 200grams of coolant, this has now been corrected and the car is chucking out ice cubes from the vents. Caution to women if you don't want to experience sore plumbers thumb syndrome don't use he Mondy in the heat of summer!
Paul the mechanic
What does every man want, a ramp in his garden. In this case Paul enjoys the ramp and a chance to inspect his v6. The photo looks as real as a Eurovision act!
Paul looking like a wookie! This comic shot caught my imagination of Paul struggling to reach the petrol cap filler!
Although it looks like Paul was busy we spent most of the morning letting Mark @ mpautocare service the Mondy! Paul almost had a full service on the car and its running with some better mpg, great success!

Sunday dinner
The girl did pretty well for Sunday dinner, the pork tastes amazing in cooked in cider!
The gravy even justifies being mopped up with bread.
Thank you Mrs G!

Club Raffle
After some time of running the Club I felt it was appropriate that we should have a Club raffle, after some careful thought & consideration of prizes we came down to the following:
The raffle took place yesterday afternoon with 2 independent adjudicators Roxy & Tiggy.
The lucky winner is Paul!!!
Well done Paul we will be in touch for photo's etc at the prize giving ceremony (Next Park & Polish).
Week Roundup
Its been too long really since I posted what's going on & given the snowy outlook though, it may be appropriate to bring joy & happiness to those that cant get out of their homes! To some, Club Mondy is a beacon of light!
As per previous posts some of you may be aware that poor old Paul has caused some scratch damage to the V6, due to the light conditions & recent weather it has been hard to confirm this scratch damage. When suddenly a moment of clarity! I said Paul lets navigate to the nearest Petrol station.... voila daytime lights!
This gave us a much clearer view of damage, whilst the scratches are slightly visible we are hoping that with some love & tlc the V6 will be bling once more!
Unfortunately the snow has stopped us from carrying out the park & polish session that Club Mondy deserves! Maybe next week eh Paul?
On a positive note project 'kill the veggies' is now complete they have now moved office, good work Paul!
Coffee Mornings:
We've had a number of successful coffee morning's this week with home made cakes / biscuits being brought in, thanks Mrs I, Mrs G don't let the side down! Sadly the numbers consisted of just myself & Paul.

Great Success
I'm now where I need to be with the phone system & the world is a better place.
I do however have a worry about Poor old Paul's Mondy. It has been scratched with malicious intent by a hedge, all we can do now is hope that love & some Autoglym can bring the girl back to her glory, only time will tell. One thing is for sure the life is the hedge will be short lived.
Mrs G is on track to make a fantastic dinner, it is good when she cooks, the knowledge has been given to her rather like an ancient chinese secret passed down through the generations she also has this ability to cook well & become stronger on the plough.
We also have a plumber called Ted Glen, which childishly makes me laugh as there was a Ted Glen in postman Pat, more to the point he even looks like the fellow:

A start to a better day?
Maybe today will be a better day, the mondy club had a 15 minute pre-meet earlier today with some home made biscuits which were readily welcomed.
I'm also wondering if heated debates will continue with myself & a phone company around a phone system, this made me angry yesterday. Poor old Paul tried to help with some input however it was like a random catchphrase answer, it was good but not quiet right.
Looks like Park & polish is needed again due to vehicle damage, Poor Old Paul.
Some days your the pigeon some days your the statue.

Morning
Thought it was about time that me and Paul blogged about the Mondeo club. After many successful meets through 2011 the club's numbers could do with extra support.
We are starting 2012 with bang!
Pauls objectives this year are to secure a towbar for his V6 Mk3 in Pepper Red. Whilst I',m looking for a cream leather interior for my Mk3.
We've got a new polisher / buffer to use this year which hopefully will save our aching hands!
We'll also be looking at what polish works best from Autoglym.
